Hearts and Hands Catering Company was founded in 2011 by the mother and son cooking duo, Angie Brown and J. Brown in the great City of Decatur, Georgia. Both natives of The South, they decided to start their family business as a tribute and celebration of Fine Southern Cuisine.
Angie, a graduate of Jackson State University has been passionate about her cooking and owning a restaurant ever since growing up as a little farm girl in Mississippi. The retired Grandmother of five, comes from a long line of great southern cooks and we are sure that you will taste her rich and colorful legacy with every bite.
Okeeba Jubalo, born and raised in South Carolina is a multi-talented artist and graduate of The Art Institute of Atlanta and The University of Louisville. He is a true Southern Renaissance Man who began his cooking tutelage as a young boy while at the knees of his mother and grandmother. When asked about the name of their catering company J. Brown states, "I am very expressive with my hands as an artist. My heart drives my movements and it made perfect sense to name our company Hearts and Hands. I show my love through my actions and not just my words. When we prepare a meal, I want our clients to experience the love that I felt as a little boy in the South as I sat at the dinner table eating my mother's and grandmother's food."

With such a busy schedule most parents do not have the time to cover all the bases. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are 3 key components to fueling a student’s successful day. If breakfast is missed and your student’s lunch option is weak, how are students expected to have enough fuel to become successful? No worries – as long as we are there.
Our company culture is centered around creating great tasting and healthy meals for your students. You will never have to wait on us to be ready, we are always ready, on time and will be waiting on you!

Hearts and Hands Catering Company has focused on serving independent schools for the last 5 years. We saw a need in our community and decided to fill the need. This is our passion and we cook with a purpose – helping students become better students. Worrying about poor food options should not be the focus for our students. We are totally committed to transparency and integrity.
